Increasingly, companies are recognising that the integration of technology in all aspects of the food business, from R&D through operations to sales and marketing, is central to their success. FROSTI, which is the worlds foremost authority on published information in the fields of food science and technology, can help you meet this objective.
FROSTI is an ideal starting point for any research programme, saving you valuable research time. Growing at a rate of more than 2,000 records per month, and with over 25 years of scientific and technical data available, FROSTI is one of the largest and most up-to-date database of its kind. It can provide you with extensive background, as well as giving you a clear overall picture of all the latest technological opportunities relevant to your research.
Adapting your products to reflect changing consumer demands is critical to maintaining market share. FROSTI can assist you in responding to these changes, keeping you in touch with new process and packaging innovations, and novel applications for existing process technologies, as well as highlighting the functionality of new food ingredients.
Drawing on over 25 years of scientific and technical data, FROSTI can help you solve manufacturing problems quickly and efficiently. Whether you are looking to ensure consistent quality, improve product shelf-life or get to the root of a microbiological problem, FROSTI can provide you with the solution.
Who can benefit from using FROSTI?Providing access to an unrivalled collection of scientific and technical information, FROSTI is an essential tool for those working in, with or for the food and beverage industry. Foodline is utilised by food scientists in academia and industry, food technologists, librarians, product developers, government departments, newly qualified food scientists and technologists, manufacturers and industrialists, consumer associations, students, consultants and many others.
"I find FROSTI particularly useful because it often finds journal articles not found in the other food technology databases. The abstracts also tend to be more practical in approach and thus more directly relevant to the development of new food products".

More than 500 book titles are added each year, from a total resource of over 12,000 publications. Books and conference proceedings are recorded by chapter, with approximately 4,000 chapter records entered every year. In addition, standards, Statutory Instruments and technical reports are included, as are patents (600 per month), including UK, European, US, World (PCT) and Japanese patents.
Each new record includes bibliographic details and an informative abstract, which gives a clear indication of the content and commercial relevance of the article. The indexing and searching systems used in FROSTI ensure that you can locate all the most relevant information quickly and simply. All entries are indexed in-depth, giving you the flexibility to search free-text across a record or to take advantage of the powerful thesaurus facilities.
